Sunday School

Saint Spyridon Sunday School

We are happy to have you! We are so blessed to start the school year with full class offerings – Preschool through High School classes! We are thrilled to welcome all of our youth to Sunday School. If we haven’t met you or your family yet, please find one of our Sunday School Team and introduce yourself! We have many fun and faith-filled activities planned for the year that include weekly lessons, Family Fruit Feast, Service Sunday, Christmas Pageant, OCMC Coin Drive, Oratorical Festival, and more! We hope that all of our families will get plugged in this year!

St. Spyridon Sunday School welcomes children and youth from Preschool through 12th grade. With a focus on learning about the Divine Services, Holy Tradition, the Holy Bible, and Community Service, our children are provided with foundational knowledge and guidance to continue their journey as Orthodox Christians. We acknowledge the importance of parents and family in the teaching of our children and youth and strive to develop a strong relationship between Sunday School and families.

Sunday School has a new Registration Form for the 2022/2023 School Year. Please complete a registration form for ALL NEW AND RETURNING STUDENTS. Click HERE to complete the registration form. Or download the form HERE and email to sundayschool.stspyridon@gmail.com or mail to the Church Office.

Sunday School Classes meet immediately after Holy Communion in the Education Building and Youth Room (high school). Classes end at 12:10. Please see the resources on this page (under the “Resources” heading) for resources and worksheets for families to use throughout the year.

Our Sunday School annual theme for 2022/2023 is The Light of Jesus. Our memory verse is: “For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” (2 Corinthians 4:6). In addition to our Sunday School Curriculum, our students participate in monthly themed activities to encourage engagement in our theme. Our Middle and High School students participate “Service Sundays” on the first Sunday of each month. Students have the opportunity to serve our church community (serving fellowship, activities with younger classes, making lunches for local people in need, serving the seniors in our church, and other service projects).
